Yo guys, Allie here! A few weeks ago, there was a little thing called the New Moon premiere. As you all know (or should know!) Chop Shop/Atlantic put out the soundtrack for both Twilight and New Moon, and both have done extraordinarily well. We had a few artists from the soundtrack attend the premiere including Anya Marina, who co-hosted a special online stream for Myspace, Chris Walla from Death Cab For Cutie, Lykke Li, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Sea Wolf, OK Go and Hurricane Bells. With all these artists in attendance, they all needed a publicist to guide them down the madness that is the red carpet, and since we only had 2 publicists available, I got to fill in! I walked Leah, the drummer of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club through the photographers, weaving in and out of cast members and TV stars. I was so nervous with knots in my stomach, but once we started it was like second nature. Leah did a great job and once she was finished, I waited with Jessy, my supervisor for our next task: walking Miss Lykke Li down the carpet. Lykke arrived through all the madness, but looked beautiful and kept perfectly composed, never letting the insanity get to her. She did some great interviews with MTV, Myspace, Access Hollywood and others. Everything ended up great and the overall day, despite a few crazy and hectic moments, was amazing! It was such a great experience!
